In the small town of Eldridge, nestled between shadowed hills and hidden valleys, a young girl named Pati lived with her family. Unlike the rest of the townsfolk, the Patersons had prospered in recent years, a beacon of wealth in a time of hardship. This prosperity brewed resentment, a resentment that turned to dark jealousy.
Pati’s brother, Ethan, had become the target of this envy. One night, he was brutally murdered, falsely accused of theft by the very people who had once shared their table. They buried him in the graveyard at the edge of town, and Pati, heartbroken, would visit the grave to talk to him, hoping somehow he could hear her.
One evening, Pati’s life took a grim turn. A scheming townsperson, driven by greed and malice, accused the Patersons of drug trafficking, setting a trap to discredit them. When the police arrived, Pati's parents were arrested, leaving Pati alone and enraged. Desperate for help, she went to the graveyard, wishing Ethan could come to their aid.
As she wept by Ethan’s grave, a chilling voice echoed through the night. “Hello, Pati.” She turned to see a man with pale skin, eyes that gleamed with an unnatural intensity, and an aura of death. Trembling, she stared at him. He bore an eerie resemblance to her brother but exuded a menacing presence.
“Don’t be afraid,” the man said, “I am here to serve you, my sire.” His words, though comforting, sent shivers down her spine.
Desperate, Pati’s anger fueled her command. “Free my parents from prison. Deal with anyone who stands in your way.”
The man, his eyes burning with a dark promise, obeyed. He made his way to the prison. What followed was a night of terror and carnage. The man slaughtered the guards, his thirst for blood unquenchable. But he did not stop there. He continued, mercilessly killing all the prisoners, including Pati’s parents. When Pati arrived, she found the prison engulfed in death and despair.
She rushed to her parents' lifeless bodies, tears streaming down her face. “Why did you do this?” she screamed at the man, her voice breaking. “I ordered you to save my parents!”
The man’s gaze was unrelenting. “No, sire. I freed your parents. They are now free from this world’s misery.” He gestured to the risen figures of her parents, now transformed, their eyes glowing with a new, unnatural hunger. “They are sired, just as you are my sire.”
Horrified, Pati watched as her parents , now vampires, began to feed on the dead. Their transformation marked the beginning of a new era in Eldridge, one that would be forever changed by the dark legacy of the undead.
Pati’s wish had come true in a way she could never have imagined. The town of Eldridge would never be the same again, for the vampires that now roamed its streets bore witness to her sorrow and the twisted fulfillment of her desperate plea. Pati and her family now started a new journey as Supernaturals, living in plain sight dealing both human and supernatural situations.
