Last Friday, Barkaby Outlet experienced a major disruption. The entire area was evacuated due to a fire alarm, and I was the cause of it all.

As I was getting ready to leave work, I decided to heat up a cinnamon bun for a quick snack. However, my negligence led me to overheat it in the microwave, resulting in thick smoke that triggered the fire alarm.

In that moment, panic set in as I realized the potential repercussions from the head office. Additionally, I felt deeply apologetic for inconveniencing everyone present at the outlet that day.

This incident served as an important lesson for me. From now on, I will be more cautious when reheating cinnamon buns—either by reducing their heating time or avoiding reheating altogether 😅.
